Monica Trevino, Director of the Center for Social Change, will be moderating a panel at the 2025 Michigan State of Reform Health Policy Conference on April 17, 2025. State of Reform brings together practitioners, thought leaders, and policy makers to a unified conversation focused on improving our healthcare systems. This conference features a mixture of panel discussions and keynote speeches meant to examine the current challenges and possible solutions to health access.
Monica Trevino will be moderating the panel titled, “Health-Related Social Needs: The Impact of the In-Lieu of Services Benefit & What it Means for Michigan’s Health Sector.” This panel discussion will examine the status, impact, and future of the In Lieu of Services (ILOS) benefit currently being piloted in Michigan. The ILOS program seeks to address Medicaid members’ health-related social needs (HRSNs). ILOS has the potential to greatly improve the health of vulnerable Michiganders. The panel includes Karen Ostrowski, Director of Regulatory Affairs (Unite Us), Tiffany Stone, Deputy Director of Government Programs (Michigan Association of Health Plans), and Jaffer Traish, Chief Operating Officer (Findhelp).
