Facilitating Collaboration
A Relationship-Driven Practice
Workshop Overview
Relationship building and collective engagement are critical to successful multi-sector collaborations. This workshop focuses on two facilitation models, the Group Development Model (GDM) and the Feedback Model (FM).
These models build the foundation for effective teamwork and support participants in implementing public health programming grounded in authentic relationships and team engagement. This workshop is open to all who lead, facilitate, or participate in group activities.
In this workshop, participants will:
- Identify critical questions to move through the stages of the models and apply them to current project work.
- Establish power-sharing through a transparent decision-making process and use a collaborative framework to diagnose and resolve group challenges.
- Identify how these models support individual strengths and skills.
- Engage in interactive activities and large/small group dialogue.
- Practice delivering behavior-based feedback to strengthen relationships with groups, peers, and supervisors.
Participants will receive a resource guide to help them apply these concepts and models in their work.
