Dr. Canady’s leadership at MPHI and her role as an ardent advocate for children’s health were recently featured in 517 Magazine, a prominent Greater Lansing regional publication.

In the article titled “Taking a Community’s Temperature: Michigan Public Health Institute Helps Elevate the Region” Dr. Canady’s strategic direction and stakeholder relationships were emphasized as the keys to helping build a robust infrastructure to support the Institute’s diverse and progressive program areas and projects. It also touched upon her mission to promote health and advance well-being, and her belief that public health is not political but a neutral, data-driven resource to protect everyone’s safety.
