Congratulations to MPHI Director and MSU alum, Dr. Shondra Marshall on the publication of her book, Leadership Training Guide. To celebrate this achievement, she will be holding a book signing reception on August 28, 2025, at the MSU Multicultural Center. The book signing will include copies of the Leadership Training Guide available for purchase.

Dr. Marshall’s training guide is a four-week onboarding tool for anyone transitioning onto a new team or into a new role. The guide explains the importance of level setting and aligning your team, and readers are encouraged to engage in critical reflection. In addition, the leadership training guide asserts the principle that team success and goal achievement are determined by the cohesion of the team and the commitment of leaders and team members to be the best versions of themselves.

Dr. Marshall leads a team of dedicated public health professionals in her role as a Director at MPHI and volunteers her time to service on multiple boards. She attended Michigan State University for her Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts degrees and obtained her doctoral degree from Eastern Michigan University. In 2024, Dr. Marshall was recognized for her work with the Clifton R. Wharton Jr. Distinguished Alumni Award from the Michigan State University Black Alumni (MSUBA) organization.

Congratulations, Dr. Marshall!
