Dr. Shondra Marshall, Director of the Center for Racial and Social Justice (CRSJ), will be the keynote speaker at an event hosted by MSU Medical Colleges in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The event will take place on January 23, 2025, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Conrad Hall Auditorium. There will also be an online attendance option for those who cannot attend in person.

There will also be an online attendance option for those who cannot attend in person.Dr. Marshall is an alumna of Michigan State University, earning both her master’s degree in Teaching and Curriculum with a Specialization in Literacy and Language Instruction and her bachelor’s degree in Retail Management with a cognate in Business from MSU. During her time at MPHI, she has worked to advance equity and social justice, serving members of underrepresented communities.
Her talk will encompass the ideas represented by her work at MPHI and is titled “There’s Still Hope: Addressing Health Disparities and Strengthening Well-Being in Our Communities.”
